did I read the race start times correctly? SUPs then kayaks then sprint boats all 5 minutes apart. T’would be a blast to watch on shore as the kayaks drown the SUPs, then the sprint boats T-bone the kayaks. Maybe I’m wrong, but shouldn’t the fastest go 1st when there is only 5 minutes between each type of equipment?
I might have to come; just to see this.
Thanks for the invite! WindPaddle Sails is going to try real hard to attend and display/demo our products.

I wondered the same thing. Maybe they just posted them in reverse order…
Since there are 4 2500-meter laps (10k total), eventually EVERYONE will be mixed up as they race 4 times around the “track”. It will be a lot of fun, but the sprint kayaks will have NO problems speeding around everyone else. But good point – I will let sponsors consider changing who starts first to minimize the craziness.
I am new to kayaking and very much look forward to attending this event. Can’t make Saturday but will be there on Sunday for sure!

Doesn’t matter if it’s on a lap course.
